Monsoons Of Kuttanaad

Every week for the past five years, I have traveled down through the rice bowl of Kerala. Kuttanaad as it is locally known has never in those five years even for once failed to amaze me by its exotic beauty. The regions around it though similar cannot parallel it. During the monsoons the area spills over literally and its beauty..? Well, it just goes overboard.
Here, I have tried to capture in a few frames most of it though I must admit it was more a failure. But what I have managed to capture is the just-out-the-bath-serenity look that the place adorns during the monsoons.

"If you gave me several million years, there would be nothing
that did not grow in beauty if it were surrounded by water."
Jan Erik Vold, What All The World Knows

    1. They would like a change of living conditions, yes Adriana. But the rest of the year is worth those grueling months. Most are farmers as you can see, and they wish for rain more than a dry season.
